“This song is dedicated to the world”, explains Bailey James. “We are all battling something. Everyone is dragging some type of pain that most people around them have no idea about. I challenge everyone to love more, fight less and help those that need it. Sometimes it’s just recognizing someone’s existence through a smile or wave that can set them on a more positive course. May the world know better angels.”

It takes a big song to embrace something this big, but thankfully ‘Better Angels’ is absolutely huge. It’s a stadium-sized country soul ballad and a modern anthem for hope that sounds like Martina McBride singing a lost cut off Jeff Buckley’s Grace. Its sweeping melancholy and shimmering electric guitars build and break beneath Bailey James’ aching vocal, as she picks over mistakes once made before finally finding peace amidst grief.
